This kit is definitely not for the easily frustrated. I have a lot of mechanical experience and small, dexterous fingers, but had difficulty during certain steps of the assembly (I'm not an experienced modeler or kit builder). The instructions are fairly clear, with good illustrations and a logical work flow. There are NO spare fasteners, which is ridiculous considering how small and difficult to handle they are. All the model pieces are punched aluminum which have holes and slots to fit together. Most of them require gentle shaping to achieve the proper profile. Once complete, the kit looks nice, but is difficult to "rig" to achieve a stable, upright stance - it tips over with ease. The teeth are flimsy white paper stickers. Total assembly time, from opening the box to first tip-over, was 75 minutes. I cussed a lot, though my satisfaction level was very high after completing the kit without losing any parts or throwing the thing against the wall.

I ordered this for my 9 year old with some help of my husband to put it together. The nuts and bolts are VERY SMALL. About half way through my husband started to get frustrated as it became more difficult for his fingers to get the small nuts and bolts together and gave up altogheter on the legs. I finished the job, but it took me several tries to get those tiny nuts to stay just right on the bolt to carefully get it started to screw on....unfortunately the final product did not last long and soon pieces started to fall off. My husbands response: Don't ever buy something like this again.
